The journal publishes original articles in English.</p> Yayasan Adra Karima Hubbi en-US Scientechno: Journal of Science and Technology 2986-4887 DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL COMICS BASED ON SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONCEPT OF THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM IN GRADE VIII STUDENTS OF MTs DARUL HIKAM https://research.adra.ac.id/index.php/Scientechno/article/view/3836 <p>This study aims to develop educational comics based on <em>a scientific approach</em> on digestive system materials, assess their feasibility, test their effectiveness in improving understanding of concepts, and describe the response of grade VIII MTs Darul Hikam students to their use in science learning. The method used is research and development with the ADDIE model which includes <em>the analysis, design, development, implementation,</em> and <em>evaluation </em>stages, with test subjects as many as 25 grade VIII students as well as instruments in the form of expert validation sheets, <em>pre-test</em> and <em>post-test </em>tests, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the developed media obtained a very feasible category based on the validation of 100% and 96% media experts, 88% of material experts, and 95% and 95% of teacher practicality, while its effectiveness was shown by an increase in the average score from 43.6 in the <em>pre-test</em> to 89.6 in <em>the post-test</em> with an N-gain of 0.80 in the high category. The novelty of this research lies in the systematic integration <em>&nbsp;of scientific approaches</em> into the narrative flow of educational comics that are adapted to the context of MTs students and digestive system materials. The implications of this study show that educational comics can be an alternative science learning media that is contextual, interesting, and supports active learning to strengthen students' understanding of concepts and help teachers implement student-centered learning according to the demands of the Independent Curriculum in the tsanawiyah madrasah environment more effectively and relevant to learning needs.</p> Intan Miladia Solihah Sugeng Kurniawan Yurnalisma Dewi Copyright (c) 2026 Intan Miladia Solihah, Sugeng Kurniawan, Yurnalisma Dewi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 2026-06-30 2026-06-30 5 3 1 16 10.70177/scientechno.v5i3.3836 DETERMINANTS OF ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS ON THE INCOME OF COCONUT FARMERS IN SIMEULUE REGENCY https://research.adra.ac.id/index.php/Scientechno/article/view/3928 <p>This study aims to examine the economic and environmental determinants of coconut farmers’ income in Simeulue Regency by analysing land area, selling price, labour, and damaged trees as independent variables, with farmers’ income as the dependent variable. This study employs a quantitative method based on multiple linear regression analysis of primary data collected through questionnaires and interviews with 97 coconut farmers selected using the Slovin formula, supplemented by secondary data from relevant institutions. The results indicate that all variables simultaneously influence farmers’ income; however, when analysed individually, land area and labour have a positive and significant effect, the selling price shows a positive effect, and damaged trees have a negative but non-significant impact on income levels. These findings imply that owning larger landholdings and utilising labour efficiently can help increase farmers’ income, whereas pest-damaged trees remain a major challenge for boosting productivity. This condition is also found in grade VIII students of MTs Darul Ulum, where most of the students have not reached the completion of learning in science subjects. This study aims to analyze the application of quartet card media in improving the science learning outcomes of grade VIII MTs Darul Ulum students, describe the application process, and identify students' responses to the use of the media. The research uses the Classroom Action Research approach which is carried out in two cycles, with stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects amounted to 22 students in grade VIII. The research instruments included learning outcome tests, observation sheets, structured interviews, and documentation. The results showed that student learning completeness increased from 18 percent in pre-action to 40 percent in cycle I and 86 percent in cycle II. In addition, students show a positive response in the form of increased enthusiasm, cooperation, and activeness during learning. Data mining maturity, defined as the level of sophistication in an organization's data mining capabilities, plays a critical role in shaping decision-making processes. Predictive analytics, which utilizes data to forecast future trends, has been proposed as a key mediator in this relationship, enhancing the ability of firms to make accurate and efficient decisions. This study explores the interplay between data mining maturity and strategic decision-making, specifically assessing the mediating role of predictive analytics. The research uses a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine data from 200 knowledge-intensive firms. The results reveal a significant positive relationship between data mining maturity and decision-making outcomes, with predictive analytics mediating this relationship and accounting for 45% of the variance in decision quality and 38% in decision speed. The study concludes that firms with higher data mining maturity, coupled with effective use of predictive analytics, make faster and more accurate strategic decisions. This research aims to increase student learning activity through the application of the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model in science learning. The method used is Classroom Action Research with a two-cycle design, and each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 25 students of class VIII C MTs Darul Hikam, while the data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that students' learning activity gradually increased from 38.83 percent in the first cycle of the first meeting to 54.67 percent in the second meeting, then increased again to 80.3 percent in the second cycle of the first meeting, and reached 91.83 percent in the second meeting. In conclusion, the application of the Jigsaw model is effective in increasing students' learning activity in science learning.
