Geographic isolation and structural vulnerability often restrict livelihood opportunities, making conventional development strategies less effective. This study aims to analyze how social entrepreneurship functions as a pathway to sustainable economic empowerment in remote communities by integrating economic activities with social objectives and community participation. The research employs a qualitative design grounded in development studies, combining in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis of community-based social enterprises operating in remote areas. The findings show that social entrepreneurship contributes to sustainable economic empowerment through income diversification, skill development, and the strengthening of social capital. Social enterprises foster local agency, collective ownership, and resilience, enabling communities to adapt to economic uncertainty while reducing dependency on external assistance. Empowerment outcomes extend beyond financial gains to include enhanced participation, trust, and institutional capacity at the community level. The study concludes that social entrepreneurship represents a socially embedded and context-sensitive development strategy that supports long-term economic empowerment in remote communities. Effective support for social enterprises requires policies and interventions that prioritize participation, local knowledge, and sustainability rather than standardized entrepreneurial models.
2026-02-10T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Imam Jayanto, Ilyas Ilyas, Merita Ayu Indrianti, Bernardus Agus Rukiyantohttps://research.adra.ac.id/index.php/abdimas/article/view/3414Community Service Programs and Cultural Resilience: Revitalizing Indigenous Knowledge Systems2026-02-20T07:54:59+07:00Rashid Rahmanrashid01@gmail.comZain Nizamzain@gmail.comRina Farahrina01@gmail.comNur Azizahnur.azizah@poljan.ac.id
Indigenous knowledge systems represent vital cultural resources that sustain community identity, social cohesion, and adaptive capacity, yet they face increasing erosion under the pressures of modernization and standardized development practices. Community service programs have been widely implemented as instruments of social engagement, although their role in strengthening cultural resilience and revitalizing indigenous knowledge remains insufficiently examined. This study aims to analyze how community service programs contribute to cultural resilience through the revitalization of indigenous knowledge systems within local communities. The research employs a qualitative approach grounded in participatory and interpretive frameworks, combining in-depth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of community service program documents. The findings reveal that community service programs foster cultural resilience when they are designed as participatory processes that recognize indigenous knowledge holders as central actors. Such programs facilitate intergenerational knowledge transmission, strengthen cultural pride, and support the adaptation of traditional practices to contemporary contexts. The results also indicate that cultural revitalization extends beyond preservation, functioning as an active process embedded in everyday social life. The study concludes that community service programs can serve as effective platforms for sustaining indigenous knowledge systems when they emphasize reciprocity, local agency, and cultural authority. These findings underscore the importance of culturally responsive community engagement in promoting sustainable and resilient development.
2026-02-20T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Rashid Rahman, Zain Nizam, Rina Farah, Nur Azizahhttps://research.adra.ac.id/index.php/abdimas/article/view/3407Collaborative Models for Inclusive Education: The Role of Communities in Supporting Learners with Diverse Needs2026-02-18T10:26:23+07:00Ayesha Begumayeshaa@gmail.comTasnia Islamtasniaa@gmail.comIstiarsyah Istiarsyahistiarsyah@ummah.ac.idSiti Aisyah Hanimhanim@unimal.ac.id
Background: Inclusive education increasingly demands collaborative approaches that extend beyond schools to involve families and communities. Learners with diverse needs often face academic, social, and emotional barriers that cannot be addressed through institution-centered strategies alone.

Objective: This study aims to examine collaborative models for inclusive education, focusing on the role of communities in supporting learners with diverse needs and strengthening inclusive learning environments.

Methods: The research employed a qualitative-dominant design integrating descriptive statistics and case-based analysis. Data were collected from teachers, school leaders, parents, and community representatives through interviews, observations, document analysis, and secondary institutional data. Inferential analysis was used to examine relationships between community collaboration and learner support outcomes.

Results: The findings indicate that structured community collaboration significantly enhances learner participation, perceived inclusiveness, and access to support services. Strong partnerships characterized by shared decision-making, trust, and contextual responsiveness were associated with more effective inclusive practices. Case evidence further illustrates that community involvement contributes to learner confidence and classroom inclusivity.

Conclusion: The study concludes that inclusive education is most effective when communities function as active partners rather than peripheral supporters. Collaborative models provide a sustainable framework for addressing learner diversity and advancing educational equity across diverse educational contexts globally today.
2026-02-25T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Ayesha Begum, Tasnia Islam, Shahinur Rahman, Siti Aisyah Hanimhttps://research.adra.ac.id/index.php/abdimas/article/view/3418Bridging the Digital Divide: Community-Based Digital Innovation for Inclusive Socioeconomic Development2026-02-20T11:20:10+07:00Napat Chainapatt@gmail.comAom Thaiaom01@gmail.comPong Kritpong01@gmail.comMa’rifani Fitri marifanifitri@uny.ac.id
Digital transformation has accelerated economic growth and social connectivity, yet persistent digital inequalities continue to marginalize vulnerable communities from meaningful participation in the digital economy. Access to infrastructure alone has proven insufficient to ensure inclusive socioeconomic development, as disparities in digital literacy, institutional support, and local innovation capacity remain significant barriers. This study aims to examine how community-based digital innovation initiatives contribute to bridging the digital divide and promoting inclusive socioeconomic outcomes. A mixed-methods, multi-site comparative design was employed involving 180 participants across three underserved regions. Quantitative data were collected through digital literacy assessments and socioeconomic surveys, while qualitative insights were obtained through interviews, focus groups, and field observations. Inferential statistical analyses revealed significant improvements in digital literacy, income levels, employment stability, and entrepreneurial engagement (p < 0.001). Regression results indicated that digital literacy gains significantly predicted income growth, while qualitative findings highlighted the mediating role of participatory governance and social capital. The study concludes that community-based digital innovation serves as an effective structural mechanism for translating digital access into sustainable economic empowerment. Integrating grassroots capacity-building with digital infrastructure investment is essential for achieving equitable and resilient socioeconomic development in digitally evolving societies.
2026-02-20T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Napat Chai, Aom Thai, Pong Krit, Ma’rifani Fitri https://research.adra.ac.id/index.php/abdimas/article/view/3409Reimagining Community Empowerment: Integrating Digital Technology, Social Innovation, and Cultural Sustainability2026-02-19T10:26:21+07:00Zeynep Toprakzeynep@gmail.comCemil Kayacemilkaya@gmail.comHale Yilmazhalee@gmail.comGuntur Arie Wibowoguntur.fkip@unsam.ac.id
Background: Community empowerment has become increasingly complex in the context of rapid digital transformation, evolving social challenges, and the growing urgency of cultural sustainability.
