Focus and Scope

Focus

Journal Islamic Economic Minangkabau focuses on the forward-thinking application of Islamic economic thought to address urgent global issues—such as inequality, digital transformation, environmental crisis, and economic ethics—through the lens of Shariah economics, Maqasid al-Shariah, and contemporary policy-making.

The journal especially prioritizes studies that:

  • Innovate Islamic economic models for the digital and green economy;

  • Bridge Islamic financial ethics with global sustainability goals (SDGs);

  • Analyze the role of Islamic economics in global economic governance and post-capitalist alternatives;

  • Offer critical and empirical perspectives on Islamic socio-economic justice in the 21st century.
