As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format, and has been prepared using the official manuscript template of International Journal of Educational Narratives, available on the Author Guidelines page.
  • The manuscript involves authors affiliated with institutions from at least two (2) different countries, and the complete affiliation of every author has been provided.
  • The manuscript follows the journal's required structure, including Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
  • The abstract is written in English and ranges between 250-300 words, and is accompanied by three to five (3–5) keywords.
  • The manuscript adheres to the word count limit specified in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, and all references follow APA 7th edition style.
  • References have been prepared using a reference management application (Zotero), and where available, DOIs or URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The submission is free from plagiarism, and the authors have verified its originality using similarity-checking software, with a similarity index not exceeding the journal's accepted threshold.
  • All listed authors have read and approved the manuscript and agree to its submission to this journal, and there is no conflict of interest associated with this work.
  • For research involving human participants (including students or minors), appropriate ethical approval and/or informed consent has been obtained and is stated within the manuscript.
  • The authors agree to provide supporting data related to the manuscript if requested during the review process.
  • The authors have read and understood the journal's policies regarding the editorial process, peer review, and any applicable article processing charges (APC).
